This Privacy Policy describes how RBCOM collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit rbcomshop.com, make a purchase or contact us.

1. Data controller

RBCOM is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. RBCOM is RBCOM, a French simplified joint-stock company with a sole shareholder (SASU), share capital EUR 1,500, registered with the Lyon Trade and Companies Register under number 825 053 002, SIRET 825 053 002 00010, VAT number FR27 825053002, with registered office at 577 Avenue General de Gaulle, 69760 Limonest, France.

Privacy requests may be sent to support@rbcomshop.com or through https://rbcomshop.com/pages/contact. Postal correspondence may be sent to 577 Avenue General de Gaulle, 69760 Limonest, France.

2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with the store, we may collect:

Identity and contact data, such as your name, billing and delivery addresses and email address.

Order and transaction data, including products ordered, order value, delivery status, returns, refunds and customer-service history.

Payment-related information. Full payment-card details are generally collected and processed directly by authorized payment providers rather than stored by RBCOM.

Account data, such as login credentials and saved preferences, if customer accounts are enabled.

Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages and cookie or similar identifiers.

Marketing preferences and information about your response to communications, where marketing is enabled.

Information you choose to provide in messages, reviews, forms or other communications.

3. How we collect data

Directly from you when you order, create an account, request support, subscribe to communications or submit a form.

Automatically from your device through essential technologies and, where enabled and consented to, analytics or advertising technologies.

From service providers involved in payments, fraud prevention, delivery, website hosting and customer support.

From lawful public or commercial sources where necessary for fraud prevention, compliance or protection of legal rights.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data only when a lawful basis applies. The principal purposes and bases are:

Contract: to accept and fulfil orders, take payment, deliver products, manage returns and refunds and provide requested customer service.

Legal obligation: to keep accounting and tax records, respond to lawful requests, manage product-safety obligations and comply with consumer law.

Legitimate interests: to secure the store, prevent fraud, improve operations, defend legal claims and understand aggregate store performance, provided your rights do not override those interests.

Consent: for non-essential cookies, optional analytics, targeted advertising and electronic marketing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

5. Shopify and other recipients

The store is hosted on Shopify. For customers in the European Economic Area, relevant store data is initially processed by Shopify International Limited in Ireland. Shopify and its authorized subprocessors provide ecommerce infrastructure, security, checkout and related services.

We may also share necessary data with payment providers, delivery carriers, fulfilment and IT providers, customer-support providers, professional advisers, insurers, fraud-prevention services and public authorities where legally required. Each recipient receives only the data reasonably necessary for its role.

Shopify consumer privacy information is available at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers.

6. International transfers

Some service providers or their subprocessors may process data outside France or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard. You may contact us for information about the relevant safeguard, subject to lawful confidentiality restrictions.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose and applicable legal, accounting and claims periods. In particular:

Order, invoice and accounting records may be retained for ten years as required by French accounting rules.

Contract and customer-service correspondence may be retained for the applicable claims period, generally up to five years after the relationship ends, unless a longer period is required for an active dispute.

Marketing data is retained until consent is withdrawn or, where applicable, for a limited period after the last meaningful interaction.

Cookie and device identifiers are kept for the periods stated in the cookie banner or consent tool and no longer than permitted by applicable law.

Data needed to document an objection or opt-out may be retained on a suppression list so that the preference can be respected.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The store uses technologies necessary for core functions such as security, checkout, cart operation, language preferences and session management. These technologies may operate without consent where legally permitted.

Analytics, personalization or advertising technologies will be used only where they are enabled and where the required consent has been obtained. You can accept, refuse or change non-essential choices using the cookie controls displayed on the store. Browser settings may also block certain technologies, but doing so can affect store functionality.

9. Marketing communications

If you choose to receive marketing, we may send product or store communications on the legal basis applicable to that communication. You can unsubscribe using the link in the message or by contacting us. Service messages relating to an order, security or a legal notice are not marketing and may still be sent where necessary.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time and may object at any time to direct marketing.

To exercise a right, contact support@rbcomshop.com. We may request information necessary to verify identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL, at https://www.cnil.fr/en.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please use a unique password if accounts are enabled and notify us if you believe your account or order information has been compromised.

12. Children

The store is intended for adults purchasing ordinary consumer goods and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children through the store. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided data may contact us.

13. External links

The store may link to websites operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and RBCOM is not responsible for those independent practices.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, technology or store operations. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new last-updated date. Material changes will be highlighted where required.
